What tours do you have available
We have four different tours available:
Pelagic Shark Tour – dive with native sharks in the deep open waters.
Snorkel Tour – snorkel amongst colorful fish above the coral reef.
Whale Watch Safari – learn and witness unique whale behaviors
first-hand.
Westside Day Trip – relax on this day cruise through beautiful calm waters.
How long are the durations of the cruises?

Our tours range from 1.5 to 5.5 hours long depending on the category. For our Pelagic Shark Tour, Snorkel Tour, and Whale Watch Safari options, we offer 1.5 to 2 hour lengths. However, for our Westside Day Trip, we offer up to 5.5 hours of cruise and lounge time due to the distance traveled.

Are the captains and instructors licensed or certified

Yes, both the owners [who are also the captains and instructors], Jordan Kamae and Chris D’Amico, are licensed with the United States Coast Guard (USCG) and certified with the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI).

Where do the tours depart from?

We are located in Hale’iwa Harbor. All of our tour boats are docked there at Oahu’s North Shore docks, where they depart from and return to. The address is 66-105 Hale’iwa Road, Hale’iwa, Hawaii 96712-0178.

What are the tour itineraries/daily schedule?

Each itinerary varies depending on the tour package selected; however, there’s a general procedure. First, check in 30 minutes prior to departure time. Then, once we get to the dive sites, guests will receive 30 minutes to explore freely. Keep in mind that there’s approximately a 20 minute boat ride to and from the dive sites and whale breeding grounds; it is calculated into the total tour duration. 

What is included in the tours?

Wetsuits, snorkels, fins, masks, complimentary bottled water, and fresh pineapples are available on every tour. Each boat contains a full restroom with warm water and a shower. They are also equipped with a hydrophone, allowing guests to experience any whale communication occurring under the surface.

What should I bring on the tour?

Feel free to bring anything you may need during the cruise– whether that’s food, drinks, sunscreen, wetsuits, etc. Depending on the tour selected, snorkel and dive gear will be complimentary or for rent. Swimsuits are always required.

Are there any prior requirements or certifications guests need?

No, this experience is welcome to beginner and experienced snorkelers alike. While snorkeling experience is preferred, it’s not required. Our licensed instructors and captains ensure guest safety and educational instruction.

Are there any discounts available?

Yes, we offer local resident, student, and military veteran discounts. However, a percentage of the proceeds made are donated to the Shark Allies Foundation– contributing to marine conservation.

Are there any stops along the tour?

While there aren’t many stops on land along the way, there are many nearby options prior to or after your tour. A few of the local gems are: Coffee Gallery, Island Vintage, and Hale’iwa Truck No.7.

What restaurants and bars are located nearby?
There are numerous chain-operated and family-owned restaurants and bars local to Oahu. Some of the most popular staples are: Jorge’s, Surf ‘n Salsa, Hale’iwa Bowls, Giovanni’s Shrimp Truck, and Hale’iwa Joes.
What are your food and beverage options?

On the Pelagic Shark Tour, Snorkel Tour, and Whale Watch Safari, bottled water is provided. It is recommended to bring any snacks that you might need during the 1.5 to 2 hour duration. However, on our 5.5 hour Westside Day Trip, we offer lunch and non-alcoholic beverages as well as water; you’re welcome to BYOB on this specific tour.

Is alcohol allowed onboard any of the tours?

Although there’s no alcohol allowed on any of the snorkeling or diving tours, guests are able to BYOB on our Westside Day Trip.

What are the local surrounding cities?

Honolulu, Laie, Hale’iwa, Kailua, Kapolei, and Ewa are locally surrounding cities.

What other local activities are available to do nearby?

Oahu’s North Shore is an epicenter for local eateries and activities. Known around the world, Matsumoto Shave Ice is the most popular shaved ice place on the island. Aside from our boating, snorkeling, and whale watching, other local businesses offer surfing lessons and equipment, paddle boards, sightseeing opportunities, and hiking trail recommendations.

What beaches are nearby?

Within the North Shore region of Oahu, Haleiwa, Laniakea, Ehukai, Pupukea, and Sunset Beach are the most popular coastal destinations for lounging in the sand and surfing in competitions.

What beach events are hosted here?

There are various surfing competitions hosted here annually on the North Shore of Oahu – including: Haleiwa Challenger, Vans PipeMaster, Vans Triple Crown of Surfing, The Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational, Billabong Pro Pipeline WSL Championship Tour Event, Da Hui Backdoor Shootout, Hurley Pro Sunset Beach WSL Championship Tour Event, and Volcom Pipe Pro.

Are there any other shark tour competitors in this area?

Aside from us, there are other tour companies in this area: One Ocean Diving, Hawaii Shark Encounters, North Shore Shark Adventures, Hale’iwa Shark Tours, Deep Blue Eco Tours, and Hawaii Adventure Diving. There are many wonderful opportunities to experience Oahu’s beauty and Pacific Ocean wildlife.
